Emmanuel arranged a tour of a local coffee plantation. The owner Oscar the self proclaimed "coffee priest" was an excellent host. He told us a little history about his tribe and how his family came to be coffee farmers. He showed us the process of how coffee goes from the bean to the liquid good we drink. Afterwards we went on a hike to a local waterfall. Our guide was excellent. The driver was was excellent. Overall Emmanuel and his staff did a very hr3at job making sure my friends and I had an excellent experience in Tanzania. After climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, my boyfriend and I decided we'd like to explore the local culture and activities in Moshi for the last couple of days we had left. I sent them an email one night asking if they had any availabilities for the Hot Spring, and they contacted me literally within 45 minutes. We made arrangements, and were picked up the next day from our hotel. Our guide was EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the history and culture. We got to the hot spring, and received a tour of the town surrounding the hot spring (and had a quick crocodile hunt!) by a local guide there. We saw an amazing dam that was built years ago and ran into a goat herder and his herd of goats. We met up with our Zuri guide at the end of the town tour and had a blast eating lunch, and swinging into the hot spring. They have the little fish there that eat the dead skin off your feet as well, so we also had a mini-pedicure done while swinging into the clear blue waters. We asked out guide if we could stop at a coffee house on the way back. He also drove us through the infamous market to see if we wanted to get any gifts/food. The coffeehouse we went to at the end was SO GOOD. I had the BEST coffee milkshake of my life there. Needless to say, we had a day packed full of excitement and adventure. I highly recommend these guys for any of the tours they offer. They work with you to ensure you get the experience you're looking for (well within reason), and that you have fun on your adventure. They are professionals and give Grade A service. If you have time to kill after the climb, Zuri Tours is the way to go!!

We took a day trip with Zuri to Kilimanjaro. We decided to just do a one day hike to Mandara huts and Maundi crater at Kilimanjaro as we did not have six days to spare to reach the summit! This operator was great. Kevin always emailed me back as soon as possible with any query I had.Kevin came to meet us at our hotel upon our arrival and answered any questions we had about the trek. We were collected from our hotel on the morning of the trip and transport to Kilimanjaro was good with Kevin. The lunch box was very nice. The only thing was that we needed to buy our own water containers at Kilimanjaro as you cannot bring plastic bottles up the mountain, so perhaps the operator could consider having these for clients next time. The day trek was great fun. Our tour guide, king William was amazing! He has climbed the mountain to the summit 159 times so I felt very safe climbing with him. He was so friendly and helpful and always asked to take pictures for us which was nice. We got to see the market in Moshi also, as Kevin drove us after Kilimanjaro. We should not have seen the centre of moshi otherwise. The price was good with Zuri and services was good. I would recommend them to everyone. Thanks Zurich for a great trip.

What an amazing experience!!.
I was lucky enough to have some free time during my trip to Tanzania and made contact with Emmanuel from Zuri Tours about options around Moshi and Arusha. Originally I was hoping to get on a Horse Riding Safari but this was unavailable for the day I was free. Speaking with Emmanuel, he took it upon himself to put together an itinerary for a full day experience.
Personally picked up from my hotel, we drove to Arusha and along the way learnt about tribal customs, traditions and discussed the local area. We visited the Arusha Masai Market for souvenirs then onto the Cultural Centre for lunch and time to explore the centre which is full of local art and artifacts.
After lunch went to visit the Snake Park and also experience Camel riding around a local village. The comparisons between African and colonial architecture and lifestyle was made evident when we visited the Rugby Club for a very relax afternoon beverage and an opportunity to reflect back on the excellent day.
Emmanuel was such a gracious host and was always happy to answer questions and share information about Tanzania and the African way of life. Highly recommended if you are wanting a more personalised and flexible tour option away from the large groups and operators. Thank you again for a great experience.

My wife and I traveled to Tanzania and Zanzibar for the first time in late July and had a magnificent time! Zuri Tours & Safaris took fabulous care of us. Zuri Tours & Safaris made arrangements for all of our tours, meals, and accommodations. Although Zuri Tours company was the least expensive, they delivered spectacular customer service. It is customary to wire funds for a deposit, but despite being prepaid for a portion of our trip, Zuri Tours & Safaris service went beyond our expectations. We visited a family run coffee farm and took a waterfall hike where we saw majestic views of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Our Safari driver made sure we got plenty of photos and the opportunity to see the big five. We were also given ample opportunity to shop for crafts and experience the delicious local dishes that Tanzania has to offer. Zuri Tours even made arrangements for us during our amazing time in Zanzibar. We not only enjoyed a facinating tour of Stone Town, but were able to relax at the beautiful crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean and take a tour of a spice farm. We highly recommend using Zuri Tours & Safaris on your next holiday amazing Tanzania.

I hired Zuri Tours to plan a day trip for a group of 10 people from the JRO Airport. We had a 4+ hour layover and wanted to get out and explore. After a bit of research we decided that a quick trip to the Kikuletwa Hot Springs would be perfect for us. Emmanuel was great about communicating with us beforehand, and he was there at the airport as promised when we arrived. He also coordinated a private chef to meet us at the hot springs and prepare a delicious hot lunch (for only an additional $5/person). In hindsight I don't think we allowed ourselves enough time to see and do all we had planned, but hats off to Zuri Tours for trying to squeeze it all in for us. It was certainly an adventurous day that we won't soon forget.

We spent a whole day with Zuri tours doing the coffee and waterfall trip and then the Hot Springs. It started badly when no one turned up at the appointed time, but after a call from our guesthouse they speedily arrived ( there had been an accident,, so no blame there , and they spent all day apologising ... ) and the day soon made us forget the false start. The coffee tour was amazing. We saw coffee from bean to cup literally. It is a must-do and you will rarely have coffee ground by hand in an enormous wooden pestle and mortar , roasted over an open fire then brewed and served. A real experience. The guide for the waterfall walk pointed out all the plants and wildlife (a green mamba!!) and the waterfall was well worth the walk. After lunch in Moshi we went to the Hot Springs, a long drive over interesting roads, again well worth the trip, and a swim with nibbling fishes. A long super interesting day. Many many thanks Zuri Tours

We booked a three day safari with Zuri and had an amazing time. The owner worked with us to create an amazing itinerary that encompassed 3 national parks and a Maasi village. Our driver/guide did a superb job and was very knowledgeable. Our chief did an outstanding job providing us with 3 full meals a day. I would recommend and will be using this company again in the future!

We organized a three day safari through Zuri tours for a large group of us. It was a great experience as they were willing to work with us to design the exact trip we had in mind by fitting in three parks and a visit to the Maasai tribe into the weekend without feeling rushed or cramped for time. Additionally, the lodge we returned to every night was extremely accommodating and comfortable and the food prepared by our chef who accompanied us was amazing. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who is searching for a relaxed and eventful safari experience.

It's a memorable 10-day safari with Zuri. For a very affordable price, Zuri put together an experience of a lifetime. It's not the wildlife, accommodations or price that made this company stand out...but it's the people who made our trip as seamless as possible
Firstly, our safari guide Josephat was an experienced and knowledgeable guide. We got nothing but good words abt him. He made us feel like his friends. We really felt his efforts to find as many wildlife as he can and he never runs short of explanations abt them. We learned not just abt wildlife but also Tanzanian culture/tribes.
Secondly, our Moshi guide Alpha was equally knowledgeable abt Tanzanian wildlife and culture. On our day of departure, he drove us around town and took us souvenir-shopping. We felt really safe with him. He didn't leave our sides to make sure we were getting reasonable prices on what we were buying. He even got our kids souvenirs.
Lastly, all hats off to Emmanuel (CEO and Manager)! From the start, he was prompt and honest in answering all my inquiries. Their itineraries are fully customizable and he willingly worked on my requests such as additional activities and accommodation changes. He even met with us over a nice lunch at a posh place (instead of picnic pack) and made sure everything's going well. On our last day, they gave us a quick Moshi tour and drove us for souvenir-shopping free of charge.

It's truly HAKUNA MATATA when you go with ZURI!!!

My wife and I went on a Safari with Zuri Tours and we had the most amazing experience! The communication with Emmanuel was very easy, and our trip was 100% customized to what we wanted to do! Our guide Josephate had a really good sense of humor and spotted the smallest animals and knew everything about them! Our chef Hussain (hope the spelling is correct), cooked the most delicious food and always made sure we were not hungry. He also wore a chef attire which was awesome! At the end we also did a day hike to mt Kili, and had a great guide (Livingstone). As if this wasnt enough, Emmanuel took us out for dinner and drinks on our last evening in Moshi. We are really happy to have chosen Zuri and I will definitely hire them again next year to summit Kili! Thank you Zuri Tours for an experience of a lifetime!!

January 2017

We spent two days doing two trips arranged by Zuri tours.
So first one was on dec. 24th, we first visited a little organic coffee plantation. There we learned about the process from bean to cup and had a delicious fresh cup of coffee with the guys from the plantation, who btw were really funny and relaxed people.
After this one of them took us to a walk (~40 min) to the waterfall. The path went through a rich vegetation of flowers and plants, and our guide could tell a lot about them.
The waterfall was beautiful and a lot of people and children had there a nice time. You could go for a refreshing swim there!

Next day we went to chemka - hot springs (the water is not hot btw), an exceptional place, its an oasis sorrounded by shadow offering trees, cristal clear water and feet nibbling fishes.
We had such a chilled day with our guides Emmanuel and Stefan swimming and enjoying this place the whole day.

I can just recommend booking your tours with Emmanuel, they are offering professional trips for fair a price and, what i appreciate especially, in a very personal way. Moreover he is super caring, helped us to book our bus the next day and took us there.

Thank you for a great time in Moshi!

We stayed 3 weeks in Tanzania and have experienced two highlights of our trip together with Zuri Tours. The Machame Route up to Kili and a 3 day Safari including Ngorongoro Crater, Terangire and Lake Manyara National Park.

Thanks to the Team of Zuri Tours, especially Emmanuel for the perfect organization and support on site. Our expectations were exceeded in every way and we thank you for the unforgettable time!

A big thanks also to the Team around King William for the breathtaking experience on the Kili. The warm and always friendly care of the whole Team impressed us very much and it was very pleased to meet you.
Only with your help we have made it to the summit and have great respect for what you do! Not to mention, of course, a big thank you to Josephate for the exciting Safari.

Zuri Tours offers an absolutely fair price-performance ratio and is in any case recommendable.

Thanks again and all the best for you! Hope to see you again...

Greetings Mariana & Christian

Was an incredible trip, we made our own fresh coffee from the raw beans. Then hiked to an incredible waterfall. Absolutely stunning, the tour was so much more fun then I could have imagined. The tour guide was so alive and friendly. Zuri team of guys are incredible and I will be booking a safari plus so much more with them. Well trained, trustworthy and all around great guys.

I was supposed to stay in at my accommodation for my last day, but Kevin (of Zuri Tours and Safaris) was able to convince me to do something I might never be able to do again. He also made sure that it would be affordable that I won't have to worry about running out of money. Did the day trek to Maundi Crater just a few meters away from the Mandara checkpoint. It was a tough trek for me but it was worth it smile emoticon Hope to reach the Kibo summit next time. Will surely recommend Zuri Tours and Safaris to everyone looking for some fun in Tanzania

“I went on a five days safari with Zuri Tours and Safaris, and it turned out to be an amazing and wonderful experience! When we were looking for a safari company online, they gave us a lot of advice and helped us to make a suitable travel plan. They were flexible and responded quickly on email. The price was low compared to the other offers we got. We started from Arusha where they picked us up the first day. We had a great guide who knew a lot about the animals and the area. And "IDDY" the great cook who made great dishes. They really knew the parks and they took us to the best spots. Service was great! I would definitely recommend Zuri Tours and Safaris and hope I can go on safari with them again, and again, and again in future!”

“The best safari ever. Excellent guide who found the tiniest of animals, such as lizards and snakes… Camping on safari was perhaps the greatest experience ever. So close to the wild nature at night you could hear the hyena laughter and a lion. Thank you Zuri Safari. Outi and others”
